ScrumImpulz 2019 speaker: Karel Smutny

Four years ago, I spent a couple of months in Prague, a beautiful city in Czechia. We supported the agile transition of the big insurance company for a few months so I had a lot of time to spend there.

What is natural behaviour for agile enthusiasts? To look for some other agile enthusiasts available in the city. I found Karel Smutny at that time. He already worked as the Agile coach in other financial institution so we had a lot of things to talk about.

There was one thing which was somehow a differentiator in case of Karel comparing to other agilists. Karel liked to apply agile practically, to code a lot and to actively introduce agile via Extreme Programming. Since then, Karel worked with interesting companies (i.e. SKODA AUTO, AVG, NN or GE Money) while learning and experiencing other methods like LeSS or learn to become a certified trainer of Professional Scrum Masters courses.

In 2018 we invited Karel to speak at ScrumImpulz, but unfortunately, plans changed a few weeks before the event. But 2019 will be finally different!
